Moving her own vision into action, Rosemarie recently renovated a century-old twin row house in
Pittsburgh
’s historic district of Lawrenceville. The effort captured first place in the
Pittsburgh
Post-Gazette's 2006 Renovation Inspiration home renovation contest. Said the Post-Gazette, “Like the people she counsels, Ms. Perla had to: 1) develop a clear vision of what she wanted, and 2) decide how to get it done… Ms. Perla's restoration is strongest on imagination.” A feature article in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review said that Rosemarie “knew what she needed and wanted. She had a strict budget. She needed a fantastic kitchen and room for her family and friends to come visit. And she refused to leave the city.” The house reflects the vision she has had for her own life.
